WHAT DO YOU DO?

Taylor wants to feed herself. Okay that is fine, but it makes such a mess. Most of it lands on the floor, but I have found it everywhere. At first, I thought maybe a spoon would distract her. NO WAY. She ends up taking my spoon and than food is everywhere. She also loves to throw her food and sippy cup. Kaylee and Nicole didn't do this. This is her routine:
1. Get in chair (arched back and grunts)
2. Mom lovingly puts food on tray
3. Taylor picks up a piece of food and throws it over
4. Once a few pieces are on the floor, the throwing begins
She does this with a huge smile on her face. I than try to spoon feed her. This will last a few minutes and than Taylor grabs for my spoon. Kaylee and Nicole laugh and I can't help but laugh, BUT it is driving me CRAZY. Seriously, what do I do when that cute little face looks up at me after her throwing fit? How could I get mad at such a cute face?

Winter Wonderland

This past weekend, we went to a ward activity up in the mountains. We are the activity chairs and I think our ward planned a great activity. A few families stayed overnight in a cabin on Friday night and than the ward came up on Saturday. We went sledding, ice fishing, played hockey, built snowmen, had hot chocolate and soup, and ran around in the snow. It was absolutely beautiful!! It snowed a few inches early Saturday morning and than the sun came out. The weather here has been crazy. Snow one day and than 60 degree weather the next. I can't complain because last year's winter was COLD!! Here are a few pictures from the fun time.

If you say no, I will figure out another way

This is the one thing you need to know about this picture. If you look closely, the earrings are actually taped to her ears and they are actually hair bands, but Kaylee wanted big hoop earrings. The crown is also taped to her forehead. It all started when I told her she could not borrow/play with my earrings and she could not get her ears pierced until she was 8 years old. Her pretend princess crown also broke earlier and I told her she would need to buy a new one, so Kaylee decided to be inventive. A couple of days later, this is what she came up with. Doesn't she look beautiful.

ALOT OF PINK!!

The day started with Kaylee dressing us all in pink and Nicole wanting us to all wear jeans. (Kaylee couldn't because of school). The rest of the day was pretty busy, but we managed to have fun. Kaylee loved her school party and pink bear (in the picture) from her friend Kevin, Nicole dressed her life sized baby in some of Taylor's pink clothing (which made me freak out atleast twice because I thought she was throwing around Taylor), and Warren treated me well with flowers and a gold necklace. Warren got the girls some red, white, and pink M&M's and cards. He sure does love those girls. Earlier in the day, Warren gave me a big hug and said, "I sure do love your Mommy." Kaylee started crying hysterically. She said, "Dad is being mean." Warren and I couldn't figure out why until we asked her and she said, " Dad doesn't love me." So Warren had to explain. Poor thing thought Dad could only love one person. I am so grateful for a loving husband and family.

Taylor's 1st Birthday

Well, our little Taylor is now 1. I felt kind of strange all week thinking about the past year and how much she has grown up. It was a fun day for the entire family, but I think Taylor was wondering what all the fuss was about. On the morning of her birthday, we had pumpkin and cinnamon pancakes with juice. Taylor loves pumpkin!! Taylor also got to take a bubble bath all by herself. She is normally splashed and rushed during her bath, so I think she enjoyed being in the bathtub all alone. That night, we had a birthday celebration with 2 other little ones who were turning 1. Taylor loved her chocolate cake. She wasn't quite sure of it at first, but once she took alittle bite-she dug in. When it was gone, she kept pointing to the cake and than to her plate, saying "This,This." The girls got Taylor a stuffed dog for her birthday and she cuddles with it all of the time. She has grown up a ton in the past few weeks. She is now cruising along things, climbing up and down stairs, copying us, and trying to talk. She is pretty petite only weighing 17 lbs and 27 inches long, so we will see if we can get her to put on some weight before her 15 month well visit. One of our favorite things to watch her do is stick her tongue out and buzz her lips. She is quite the feisty little thing when things don't go her way and it is hilarious to watch. We love her a ton.

Our Little "Olie"

Little Nicole is busy, busy. She loves her sisters and tries to be very helpful, especially with Taylor. Her favorite thing to do is play with babies, pretend play school and house. Nicole loves going to speech with her Speech Therapist Carla. They play for 30 minutes on Thursday and Friday. Carla is teaching her sign language and how to speak up. She also has a few imaginary friends named Heidi, Bo Bo, and Dora. I find her on the stairs reading books to her babies and Heidi atleast 3 times a day. Last week, Nicole decided to jump into the pool without her life jacket. I turned around and there she was bright eyed, under the water. Luckily, a friend was in the pool and he reached over to pull her up. Rightly so, she was pretty upset and scared. We will try swimming again today, and I hope she does all right. Nicole keeps us pretty busy and on our toes, but we love her spirit and sense of humor.

Happy Birthday Kaylee

Happy Birthday Kaylee!!On the 23rd of January, Kaylee turned 6 years old. She was so excited. That morning, she had pancakes with cool whip and played dressup with Grandma Johnson. Kaylee was extra excited about school because she was the Star of Week and got to celebrate her birthday at school. For dinner, Kaylee wanted steak and potatoes (she is definitely Warren's child). All day Kaylee was begging to open presents even though she only had two. When thetime came, she ripped open the presents to find a Hannah Montana Guitar and wig. She immediately put on the wig and put on a show.
On Saturday, Kaylee had her birthday party at Art Sports Complex. Along with 10 of her friends, she jumped on trampolines, played games, swung on a rope swing, ate chocolate muffins, and opened presents. She got quite the haul and when we got home, she played for hours with her new toys. It was a fun week for all in the family.
