In Honor of the Royal Wedding

In honor of the Royal Wedding.... I kept my kids home from school!!
Not really - we just happened to skip school to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house while Warren was out of town.

BUT WE DID HAVE TO CELEBRATE THE ROYAL WEDDING BY....

Kaylee designing her own hats.

Taylor dressing up like a Princess Bride.

Nicole wearing a skirt instead of jeans and painting her nails. (My mom made 2 skirts for Nicole. She loves peasant skirts - she will only wear these or jeans)

We spent the morning watching the Royal Wedding and yes, I loved it. I loved the excitement, how giddy Prince William looked, and Catherine's beautiful dress. I really mean it - her dress was stunning...elegant, modest, classy. LOVED IT!!!

My girls , especially Taylor, loved the pomp and circumstance. I did fast forward ALOT of it, but watched the best parts.

We especially loved the hats!!

It was a great thing to sit with my 3 girls and parents watching something that millions enjoyed. It wasn't sad or depressing - it was pure, uplifting enjoyment.

An Apostle's Easter Thoughts on Christ

This is one of my favorite talks on the atonement. I love this time of year - even though we have snow on the ground here in Colorado, the day is going to be wonderful.

I am so grateful for our Savior and His atoning sacrifice. I know that Christ came to earth to sacrifice His entire self for us so we can return to live with Him. I am so grateful for the reverent gift of the atonement. Through the atonement, we can repent of all wrongdoings and we can feel the comfort that I so desperately need when I need understanding and direction in my life. I know that because of Christ's ultimate sacrifice, I can lay my burdens and sadness on the Lord and He will gently lift them and envelope me in His arms. I know that Christ conquered death and that one day we will be reunited with our loved ones. How blessed we are!!!

Enjoy this wonderful Easter season and the beautiful season !!

Jane Eyre

All I have to say is : I Love "Jane Eyre"

I read the book in high school and remembered loving it. So when I saw that a movie was being released, I had to read it again. I can't believe how much I forgot. I even forgot the "main" plot. I love the religious references, the romance, the suspense, the "gothic" side of the novel, and Jane's character. She is such a courageous, moral woman.
If I could act, I would love to be cast as Jane Eyre.

I LOVED IT!!

If you have not read the book, read it. If you read it along time ago, read it again. It has some beautiful passages about faith, love, life, honesty, and moral courage.

You will not be disappointed!!

Your Invited

My girls love to put on plays and recitals. A couple of weeks ago, we were invited to attend a Dance about Fairies.

I love seeing Daddy's with their little girls. Warren is very good at tying the little strings on ballet shoes.

Nicole likes to get all of her babies ready to watch the recital and would rather sit and watch the performance with her babies.

The recital was fun to watch. I always love watching these girls dance and play together.

Taylor's outfit cracked me up. She didn't want to wear a leotard. She wanted to wear her favorite PJ top with her favorite underwear. The underwear was covered up by a baby diaper coverup, so she could be "modest." I don't know where she finds the diaper coverups, but I find her wearing them all the time. She thinks they are shorts.

Kaylee is extremely graceful when she dances and enjoys music. I love watching her!

Having a house full of girls is a lot of fun. I remember putting on plays for my family and it is fun watching the girls do the same thing.

"Strike a Pose"

CAN WE ALL SAY,
"WORLD - WATCH OUT FOR THIS ONE!!"
