Easter Sunday and Mother's Day

AN EASTER OUTFIT IS NOT COMPLETE WITHOUT SHOES!
Even though it snowed Easter morning and was freezing...
we sacrificed our poor feet for cuteness.

Here is one of those posts about past events!! Easter Sunday and Mother's day were wonderful. I love Easter Sunday and this year Mother's day was fantastic. It is always great, but for some reason I really enjoyed it this year....
Enjoy the pics!!

Does anyone else spend alot of time dying Easter Eggs and than your kids refuse to eat them because they are attached to their pretty eggs? This happens every year at our house. I have to sneak them into things because my girls get so sad when their favorite egg gets eaten. I try to hold on to their "ABSOLUTE" favorite, but it gets kind of stinky after while.

Taylor's favorite egg!

Kaylee's favorite egg...she eventually ate hers because she loves hard boiled eggs.

Nicole's favorite....I have no idea how she got hers so peachy. It was really pretty. I actually had a hard time peeling this one...Is that pathetic or what?

The girls got stuff for swimming this summer...the goggles are always a hit.

Is this the face of a competitor...I think so!

Nicole LOVES this dress. She picked it out in a catalog a couple of months before Easter. Such the perfect colors for Nicole...

Taylor has worn this dress every Sunday since Easter. She loves the beautiful flowers...

This dress was quite the find for us. Kaylee saw it in one of my winter J Crew catalogs and it was $$$$. So I told her that we needed to find something else, but I surprised her with it because it went on sale before Easter. And not just a little sale - a HUGE one. It made her day!! And Kaylee would not be complete without a scarf.

SIlly GIrls...Kaylee picture ready, Taylor with all her accessories (1 purse, 1 ring, 2 bracelets, 1 necklace, 1 flower) and Nicole constantly making us all laugh.

MOTHER'S DAY

So Pretty... I got spoiled with flowers, breakfast, dinner (fajitas..my favorite), presents (including money for shopping), and homemade cards.

My Mother's day was complete when the Dallas Mavericks beat the LA Lakers in a COMPLETE SMASHING!! They didn't just beat them, they KILLED them. Pretty humiliating for the LA Lakers!! Pretty exciting for Mavericks fans who are normally on the other end...

My poor eyes....(alittle drama is always good, right?)

Aren't they CUTE!!

A couple of weeks ago, we discovered 2 little, baby bunnies living in our backyard. We didn't know where they lived exactly, but they were always in our backyard. Well, yesterday something very tragic happened. We were working in the backyard, doing some lovely spring yard work, and our little dog Coco was running around in the backyard. Coco was underneath the deck going crazy. She was running back and forth between a pipe laying on the ground. She was yipping, her tail was straight, and her ears were perked up. She kept trying to squeeze into the pipe.

I told Warren to watch Coco because I think she found an animal. I than remembered the bunnies and told Warren to be careful because they might be in the pipe. Well, Warren lifted up some wood on the ground and found a tiny burrow. (That answers the question of where they lived!) He covered the burrow with a piece of metal and cal
led Coco over to sniff it out. Coco wasn't interested. She wanted the pipe. So, Warren lifted up the pipe slightly to look into the end. And - you guessed it? Out slid the 2 baby bunnies from the other end. Coco immediately grabbed one and ..... The other bunny just froze scared out of it's mind. Taylor and I started screaming, crying, and yelling. Warren told me very firmly to get Taylor upstairs. Poor Taylor was crying and saying, "No Coco. No Coco!" and I got a little sick in the stomach.

I can't get the image of my little dog and that bunny out of my head. I keep thinking about the little bunny's brother or sister, trying to keep itself warm and being scared. Taylor keeps talking about the event and crying. She told everyone. On the other hand, Warren is pretty proud of his dog. Warren asked me, "Is Coco walking around very proud today?"

The other bunny has not shown itself since.

On a lighter note - we seem to have our own little bunny in the house. Kaylee has discovered Wheat Grass and loves snacking on it. I know? Weird? At least, it is healthy!!

This morning, Taylor was looking through the window trying to find the other bunny. She kept shaking her head, saying "All Gone..."

12 Years and Counting

GUESS WHAT I WAS DOING 12 YEARS AGO !!

Looking back - I definitely made the right decision to marry Warren. He continues to treat me like the young girl he fell in love with 13 years ago.

Here are some of the BIG things I remember when I look back over the last 12 years:

1st year
- Move to Dallas, TX and starts Dental School. I start taking Independent Study classes, driving 45 minutes to University of North Texas on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and driving 45 minutes to work as an Orthodontic Assistant on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. LIFE is BUSY!!

2nd year - Move 3rd time while in Dallas!! Car is broken into a couple of times and I almost burn our apartment down.

3rd year - KAYLEE ANN is born and I graduate from BYU!!

4th year - Dr. Johnson graduates from Baylor College of Dentistry. Warren's wonderful father suddenly passes away. We move to Lincoln, Nebraska to start Orthodontic school.

5th year - I find a new hobby - running!! Warren's life is not as crazy, but he starts working on his thesis.

6th year - NICOLE MAE is born. And we move into my favorite little home on STARR Street. I could stand in the middle of the kitchen with my arms outstretched and touch the walls of the kitchen. Nicole slept in the bedroom closet and I hung my laundry outside to dry on a line. Almost every home on the street was rented by dental students, orthodontic students, or law students - and half of them were LDS.

7th year - Dr. Johnson becomes DDS, MS!! Thesis is complete and school is done. We make the decision we have been praying about for over 6 years - where do we live? COLORADO here we come. We buy our first home.

8th year - We go to Samoa!! Our 3rd daughter is born TAYLOR ELISE.

9th year - I go on a wonderful trip to Italy.
Warren opens up a 2nd practice. I complete my first 1/2 marathon. Our sweet little Nicole is diagnosed with a speech disorder - Apraxia. She starts therapy.

10th year - I am diagnosed with epilepsy after 3 major seizures. I start yoga!

11th year - Warren gets really sick and has to have surgery. We make the huge decision of buying some land and building a brand new office - the brand new office opens!!

Here's to a great 12th year. Can't wait to see what it brings us!!
