Summer - Taylor's Can Do Attitude

I can not believe summer has come and gone. And with summer ending, I am finally ready to blog again. Something happens during the summer. I don't know what it is, but I seem busier with LIFE. I love it!! But, while I am busy with my crazy life I forget to do one of the important things...BLOG!! I don't just BLOG for fun. It is my journal and scrapbook. So I need to be better.

So please excuse the numerous following posts updating our summer. Here is one :

The first thing you need to know is Taylor is a lot like me. She scares easily, but likes to be scared. She is also very timid when it comes to anything athletic or slightly dangerous. When she rides her bike, she walks it down our driveway because there is a slight hill (It is not even a hill. It is is more like a 5 degree angle). When a hill is coming up on the street. She drags her feet to make sure she doesn't go too fast. But, I love it and I don't want it to hold her back.

One of our favorite things to do as parents is torture, I mean gently persuade, our children to try new things. We say: "You will have fun," " Your sisters did it," "You will get a treat," or " I know you are scared, but being a little nervous is good. So you are doing it."

This is what we say to Taylor every time we go on the boat and Warren asks her to surf with him. She knows she has to and so she cries the entire time she walks back to the boat. She cries and screams while she is getting on the surf board, and she screams the entire time she is surfing. Warren as always keeps smiling because his girls are doing what he loves!!

My favorite thing to watch is Taylor's facial expressions as she rides with Warren. I don't know how I took these pictures and drove. SCARY!!

Paranoia and Uncertainty

Absolute Terror

Questioning - "Why am I doing this? How is this working?"

BACK TO PURE PANIC

Getting Better

Almost a smile..."maybe not too bad"

"Thank goodness this is done" and "Hey Dad. Do I now get my treat?"

"Yes it is done! And I earned a treat!! GUM!! "
