Taylor is 5!!

My little Taylor turned 5 a couple of weeks ago and she loves being 5!! She has been waiting a long time to be this magic age. Now that she is 5 she can ride some rides at Disneyland, she can go rock climbing at the gym, she gets to go to kindergarten, she will be able to read, and she can do her own hair. These were some of the things Taylor reminded me of when it was her special day.
I asked Taylor some questions yesterday that would be fun to read in a couple of years - Enjoy!!
And here are some pictures of "my little Tay, Tay."

Age - 4 Taylor can be really shy. She loves to do this little shrug of the shoulders.
What makes you happy? - playing with my sisters, sharing with my friends

Age 4 - Taylor loves swimming and being outside.
What is your favorite animal? Kitty and penguins
What is your favorite thing to eat? Pizza
What is your least favorite things to eat? mashed potatoes

Age 3 - This girl cracks me up with her outfits. She has always loved to dress herself and she has always wanted long, long hair. Taylor would also not be Taylor without her accessories.
What is your favorite thing to do? Play Barbies (this really surprised me)
What is your favorite TV show? Backyardigans
What are you really good at? School and writing
What is your favorite movie? Smurfs

Age 2 - At this age, Taylor was scared of the pool or any water. When the family would go swimming, she would walk around the pool with her accessories, snacks, strollers, toys, purses, etc.
What is your favorite color? pink
What is your favorite song? "Moves Like Jagger"
Who is your best friend? Mia, Little Ashley, and Jake

Age 2- Taylor loves to be snuggled in blankets. When she was 2, she loved to lay on my bed and take naps with me.
What do you and your mom do together? play with Blake
What do you and your Dad do together? go on Daddy dates and get something
What is your favorite sport? swimming and Drag-Racing funny cars

Age 2 - I had to post this because it cracked me up. This seems so long ago, but it wasn't. Taylor loved to wear this silly princess hat. She is picking out movies to watch as she sits on this little potty which is on top of a huge tarp.
Where is your favorite place to go? to the store, especially Target
What is your favorite book? "Pinkalicious"
What do you want to be when you grow up? Teacher for church

Age - 15 months
Seriously, from the beginning this silly girl loved accessories. She has also always loved books. She still loves to sit on the bottom stair with her purse and a pile of books. By this age, Taylor would still let me dress her and she would wear pants. Now one of her punishments is wearing pants.

Age 18 months - She seriously is the cutest thing. Taylor has always loved to color. She colors on everything!! This was her art bucket. It had crayons, stickers, markers, paper, etc. She would get it out and carry it with her everywhere.

Age 8 months - This silly girl loved to be outside and watch her sisters play. She also refused to wear shoes for a long time. Ironically, she now loves shoes!! When we go to Target, she loves to go by the shoe department. She also loves to help me pick out shoes. When I go shopping for shoes, she will find a pair, put it on, walk around in the highest high heels, and check herself out in the mirrors. I am actually really surprised at how well she can walk in 4 inch heels.

Age 6 months - Taylor's hair always stuck up in the back when it was growing out. And, seriously I loved these overalls.

2 months old - She once again is wearing overalls. I must have really liked them for her. As a baby, Taylor loved to be on her tummy.

When Taylor was born, I thought she was the prettiest baby. Taylor was breech so I had to have c-section. When I saw her, she had the most perfect little head and eyes. She was hardly swollen like most newborns. (Seriously, look at my sweet little Ollie!)

Taylor was only a couple of hours old in this picture. Kaylee was thrilled to have another little sister, and Nicole was fascinated with a real baby. They both loved their little sister!!

It is always so fun to look back at baby pictures and remember those times which were precious, tiring, exhausting, painful, etc. Taylor was actually a very good baby and I had forgotten what it was like to have a baby in the home. Since I am right in the middle of living with a little baby, it was more enjoyable for me to look back at these pictures. It brought back a lot of memories!!

I can't believe how young Kaylee and Nicole looked when Taylor was born. It is always a little sad to look at those pictures and remember the cute little things they did. I guess it's more fun than sad though.
Cute Taylor, I am so glad you joined the 5 year old party. Hope it's all you hoped for and more...you know, with all the Disneyland rides and fancy hair do's :) Love you girl!
