Kaylee's Baptism

On Feb. 6, Kaylee was baptized. It was a wonderful day!!

Both of these pictures were taken right after the baptism. Kaylee loved the white tulips Aunt Mollie gave her.

After the baptism, Warren said it was a completely different experience baptizing his own child. I remember a couple of years ago, Kaylee said, crying, "I am not getting baptized. It is too scary." She was so scared about the entire experience, BUT she has obviously grown a ton and was so excited about this day.

Grandma, Grandpa, and Mollie came down for the day and were part of the special day. Aunt Mollie sang "Baptism" and sounded absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! She was even sick...so I was even more grateful for her sacrifice. Grandpa gave the talk on the Holy Ghost and did a wonderful job. Kaylee loved how he demonstrated tuning out the noise to listen to the whisperings of the Holy Ghost. Grandma gave the closing prayer and helped Kaylee do her hair after the baptism. Kaylee wanted her hair in a special braid - which Mom cannot do as well as Grandma. It was a special time for me to be getting Kaylee ready with my Mom.

One of the best events of the weekend was Aunt Jenny and Aunt Lori surprising Kaylee. They drove from Utah with 3 kiddos for the weekend and it met so much to me and Kaylee. What a wonderful surprise!! Our family was so grateful for their sacrifice.

Grandma Johnson gave the talk on Baptism and did a wonderful job. Kaylee loved the letters she used and has them in a journal. Grandma also helped us find Kaylee's beautiful Baptism dress.
